How much is rent in Camps Bay?

Key takeaways
- Our five example monthly rents run from R49,000 to R130,000, and the cheapest is the only home listed as unfurnished.
- Daily rates start at R3,500 for a one-bedroom apartment and reach R57,000 for a six-bedroom house from 15 December 2026.
- At the December daily rate, 31 nights cost four to seven times the monthly rent on the two apartments that publish both.
- Compare your dates with each listing's free window first, because several homes show no availability for parts of the year.
Your dates set the price of renting in Camps Bay before the size of the home does. Across our current rental listings, monthly rents in the examples below run from R49,000 to R130,000, daily rates start at R3,500, and one apartment costs about four times more by the day in December than by the month.
What our listings ask by the month
These five Camps Bay homes show their monthly rent and the dates they are free, as at 12 October 2026. Each home name links to its listing.
| Home | Rent a month | Free |
|---|---|---|
| Three-bedroom house, unfurnished, ref 112976713 | R49,000 | From 15 September 2026, 12-month lease |
| Two-bedroom apartment, furnished, ref 117461006 | R65,000 | Until 30 November 2026 |
| Three-bedroom apartment, furnished, ref 117298914 | R75,000 | From 1 February 2027, long lease |
| Four-bedroom house, furnishing not stated, ref 117434888 | R105,000 | 1 March to 31 October 2027 |
| Three-bedroom apartment, furnished, ref 117439492 | R130,000 | Until 30 November 2026, then from 1 April 2027 |

Bedroom count does not explain the gap between a three-bedroom house at R49,000 and a three-bedroom apartment at R130,000 on the same list. The cheapest of the five is also the only one listed as unfurnished. The R130,000 apartment is the only one whose listing says what the rent includes: water, electricity, high-speed Wi-Fi and daily housekeeping. The listings for the other four do not say, so ask what you pay on top.
Outside Camps Bay we also have a partly furnished four-bedroom apartment in Sea Point at R94,000 a month from 19 October 2026, and a two-bedroom apartment in Vredehoek at R39,000 a month from 1 October 2026.
What they ask by the day
Daily rates suit holiday stays. Two one-bedroom apartments carry the lowest daily price on our list. The three houses below start their daily rates on 15 December 2026.
| Home | Daily rate starts | Rate a day |
|---|---|---|
| One-bedroom apartment, ref 116910944 | 22 September 2026 | R3,500 |
| One-bedroom apartment, ref 115888046 | 1 October 2026 | R3,500 |
| Four-bedroom house, ref 111427525 | 15 December 2026 | R20,000 |
| Four-bedroom house, ref 117574162 | 15 December 2026 to 1 March 2027 | R30,000 |
| Six-bedroom house, ref 117548708 | 15 December 2026 | R57,000 |
Two more homes show no price at all: a seven-bedroom house (ref 117529473) and a three-bedroom bungalow in Bakoven (ref 115439467) are both listed as price on application. Ask us for those.
A monthly rent, spread over 30 nights
Dividing a monthly rent by 30 gives the nightly price of staying a month, which you can set against a daily rate.
| Rent a month | Per night over 30 nights |
|---|---|
| R49,000 | R1,633 |
| R65,000 | R2,167 |
| R75,000 | R2,500 |
| R105,000 | R3,500 |
| R130,000 | R4,333 |
The four-bedroom house at R105,000 a month works out at R3,500 a night, so a month there costs the same as 30 nights in either one-bedroom apartment at its daily rate.
What December does to the price

Five of our 16 rentals start a daily-rate window on 1 or 15 December. Two apartments publish a monthly rent and daily rates for each season, so we can set one against the other. The 31-night column multiplies the daily rate by 31, and the last column divides that by the monthly rent.
Three-bedroom apartment, ref 117439492, R130,000 a month
| Period, rate a day | 31 nights | Times rent |
|---|---|---|
| Sep to Nov 2026, R9,000 | R279,000 | 2.1 |
| Dec 2026 to Jan 2027, R17,000 | R527,000 | 4.1 |
| Feb to Mar 2027, R14,000 | R434,000 | 3.3 |
Two-bedroom apartment, ref 117461006, R65,000 a month
| Period, rate a day | 31 nights | Times rent |
|---|---|---|
| Sep to Oct 2026, R5,000 | R155,000 | 2.4 |
| Nov 2026, R9,000 | R279,000 | 4.3 |
| Dec 2026 to Mar 2027, R15,000 | R465,000 | 7.2 |
On both apartments the monthly rent is the cheaper way to stay outside summer, and the daily rate rises from September to December.
Reading a listing's dates

A listing's dates are the dates it is free. The four-bedroom house at R105,000 is free from 1 March to 31 October 2027, and its listing shows no December 2026 availability. The three-bedroom apartment at R130,000 shows no monthly rent from 1 December to 31 March, only daily rates. Lease length is stated on only some of them: 12 months for the R49,000 house, a long lease for the R75,000 apartment, and monthly, three, six or 12 months for the Vredehoek apartment. Match your dates to the window before you compare prices.
Rent in euros
The European Central Bank's reference rate on 16 October 2026 was R18.49 to the euro1. At that rate R65,000 a month is about €3,500, R130,000 a month is about €7,000 and R3,500 a day is about €190. The rate moves daily, so work it out again on the day you pay.
